The launch of Aion in USA and Europe has been going quite well for NCsoft.
According to NCsoft Q3 report and read by us in an article on Gamasutra the game has sold in close to 1 million copies, split almost evenly between the USA and Europe. It's interesting to see that the article mentions that all these copies of the game was sold as boxed copies and in the short time of just seven days. Worth noting is that the game had 400k preorders we already knew about. These are impressive numbers indeed and it does raise the question how many accounts the game currently have, as well as how many accounts Aion will have after being out for a while... say around New Years.
