NCsoft recently posted this weeks issue of Eye on Community. This weeks question is regarding the recently popular topic of the slowness in leveling.
The response to the concern is, basically, that the team is still trying to find the balance in how to make the game fast enough to not be boring but at the same time long enough to make the players have time to appriciate the lore and the way to the level cap. This is a part of Ayase's response to the concern. We want Aion to be as enjoyable as we can make it. We realize that the rate of progression is a little bit too slow in certain areas of the game right now, and we recognize that there are things that can be done to improve that. We want players to be able to reach the Abyss in a timely manner so that they can go head-to-head with the opposing faction, but we also want them to enjoy the game’s lore and reach immersion in the world of Atreia.
As the Aion team handled the server queues and the issues with the delicate balance around that, we're confident that they will find a good balance in the progression issue as well. As the Eye on Community is all about finding stuff that goes on around the community, they have listed a few really nice things in this weeks post as well. Be sure to check them out. Our favourite mention this week - the awesome pumpkin cuttings. MMOPlaying Links Aion Game Page - Aion News Page
